I recently had my first experience at Foxchase Dental Group. Overall I had a good experience there. The facility is very clean and organized and staff are professional. I met with Keaton Burchfield and Afrouzeh Vakilzadeh Hashemi for the various exams and cleanings I had. This office, more so than former practices I've been to, are very thorough with each of their patients. Fortunately, they identified and addressed various issues I had with my teeth and oral hygiene. Dr. Burchfield provided a few options, which allowed me to have autonomy. That being said, my critique is that the cost breakdowns could've been done with a bit more care. For those of us who don't have extra money laying around, each procedure and auxillary procedure can carry a heavy cost. Furthermore, metal crowns are not an option at this practice, and while I understand that it's in my best interest to have a ceramic crown, metal crowns allow medical care to be more accessible for low income individuals. Many insurance companies only cover up to whatever a metal crown cost, if the practice doesn't have metal crowns, then (in my case) insurance doesn't cover anything. I cannot rave enough about the excellent assistance I recieved both during, but espesically following my initial office appointment. Annette Brown, the Office Manager, took the time and really went above and beyond to ensure I understood my insurance coverage. I can tell that, not only does she take her job seriously, but she also cares about the patients that come into the office. Again, I can't sing her praises enough - thank you Annette!

I had an amazing experience with my dental hygienist, Afraa! She was incredibly thorough, took the time to explain the dentist’s comments, and gave me practical tips to improve my gum health. She answered all of my questions with patience and made sure I understood how to maintain healthy gums moving forward. I really appreciated her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail.
