Updated: The office manager called me back and we discussed what had happened, including the reason for the delay in service. I was assured that this was a one-time issue. I appreciate the follow-up and want to emphasize that my support for the office remains unchanged. I've been a patient at this nice office for years but today was a different story for me. Maybe a new management. I scheduled a routine dental check-up and cleaning for noon and arrived 15 minutes early, as advised. After completing paperwork, I waited 30 minutes before being taken in for X-rays. The tech was professional, friendly and explained the process clearly. Following the X-rays, I waited another 30 minutes before a hygienist came in to measure gum pockets. She informed me the dentist would follow up. After another 15-minute wait, the doctor came in and was professional and thorough, examined my teeth, and explained what was needed and told me to wait for a front desk staff who would come in to discuss the cost and next steps. Unfortunately, no one came for another 20 minutes. At that point, I had been at the office for nearly two hours without receiving the service I came in for. I left the room and informed the front desk, who advised me to call back to schedule another appt for what I needed. At that time she told me the cost of the procedure I needed and charged me $10 co-pay (I think it should be free or was free for my every 6 month checkup before. I will check with my insurance plan later). I was hungry, tired and had to go back to work so didn't want to complain then and there.
